At 7 Springs Ministries, we witness lives transformed every day—but each story carries a unique depth of pain, resilience and redemption. Betty’s testimony is one of those powerful journeys that reminds us no one is beyond hope.
Her story begins with deep trauma. At just 12 years old, Betty experienced something no child should ever endure. Carrying the weight of that pain in silence, she found herself overwhelmed with fear, confusion and isolation. Without a safe place to process her trauma, she turned to pills in an attempt to take her own life.
As time went on, Betty found herself surrounded by the wrong influences, which led to her first encounter with legal trouble. Already battling depression and anxiety, this moment intensified her feelings of worthlessness and despair.
“The voices were saying I wasn’t enough. They were saying that nobody would miss me.”
As the lies in her mind became louder, all she wanted to do was numb the pain … but her story didn’t end there.
Even in her darkest moments, there was a spark—a desire for something better. She began seeking help. Not because someone forced her, but because deep down, she knew she couldn’t keep living the way she was. Through that decision, everything began to change.
At 7 Springs Ministries, Betty found structure, support and most importantly, truth. Over time, her heart began to heal—not just emotionally, but spiritually.
“Now I see that God does really love me and He has helped me through everything that I had heavy on my heart.”
The anger she once felt toward God was replaced with understanding, peace and a growing relationship with Him. Betty learned the importance of surrendering to the process. Through commitment, accountability and faith, she discovered a new way of living—one rooted in hope instead of pain.
Today, Betty is looking ahead with purpose. Her goals are simple but powerful: to find a job, restore stability and reunite with her children. Her story is still being written, but it is no longer defined by trauma—it is defined by transformation.
