Daniel Hughes, Founder & Executive Director

By: Daniel Hughes, Executive Director / Founder

The Lord has been speaking to me for years about the concept of his army. I’ve found that God often uses the words of the late Bob Jones to confirm what he’s putting on my heart, and that was the case when I heard Bob’s “Sands of Time” prophecy.

Bob had a vision where several heroes of the faith reached down into the sand and pulled out a box, but each of their boxes was empty. Great leaders like Elijah, Elisha, John and the Apostle Paul all had their turn. Then the Lord told Bob to reach down into the sand, and he brought up a box with a bunch of papers inside—draft notices—for those who would be members of the end-time army.

When we started 7 Springs Ministries, it wasn’t just about addiction and recovery. We truly believed we were raising up people for the end-time army. We wanted to equip leaders and key builders for the restoration and rebuilding of ancient ruins, as stated in Isaiah 61:

“They will rebuild the ancient ruins and restore the places long devastated; they will renew the ruined cities that have been devastated for generations.”

After my wife Colonie and I decided to step out in faith into ministry, we were on vacation when I bought a sand dollar and had “Sands of Time” painted on it. Fast forward to just a few months ago: I woke up one morning and heard the Lord say, “Now is the time.” I happened to look on Facebook, and I saw that it was 7 years to the day from when I had bought the sand dollar. I believe the Lord confirmed to me that this is the season when he’s beginning to build his army. These aren’t people who have enlisted—they are those who have been preordained and chosen.

At 7 Springs Ministries, we don’t just want to see people get sober; that’s nothing in comparison to fulfilling the plans God has for you. We want to see people liberated and put in their rightful place concerning the Lord’s purpose for them.

“There’s no better time, I believe, to be in the Kingdom than now.”

People’s hearts are being awakened, and God is working all things together for the good of those who love him, who are called according to his purpose. (Romans 8:28) Holy Spirit is apprehending people and draft notices are being sent out. He’s equipping, empowering and releasing his army in a supernatural way.
